We had a meeting of all teaching staffs yesterday in the afternoon and it went a little above two hours. Today also it went a little longer than expected and it has just got over. Luckily I had my lunch before it started. We all are gearing up for the start of a new academic year from Tuesday. And it will all be remote classes. The classes for higher grades have already started since last three weeks and it is going on well. We had to do a lot of brainstorming to come up with an online weekly timetable. The idea is to keep children engaged and also cover the portions that can be easily done online. That will help to keep moving and also things will not mount up on children and teachers when the academic years comes to an end. It is still not clear about my schedule. The first week will be an experimental one. I have to act as a moderator and assist the subject teacher. I have to see how my two autistic boys are taking it up. From next week those children might not be a part of regular classroom. I might have to come up with separate tailor made lesson plan for them. This all will be like experiment to see what best suits the children. So my work time for the coming week will be in three shifts. ...8:30 -9:30 in morning, 11-12 AM and then 1-2 in afternoon. I will just be a moderator or assistant to the subject teachers. And then taking the clues, I have to plan my next coming weeks at the time that will both suit me and the parents of boys. So far for the meeting and now each teacher has to plan out depending on the guidelines. We all are unsure of how it will work with our young children but we all are ready to learn as we go.

The next school year would be needing a lot of preparations due to the changes in the protocol.

Yes. A lot of new learning and experience are in store for both pupil and teachers. And we are still not sure what new guidelines might be issued by government in coming days.

@VivaLaDani13 Yes teaching children especially younger ones is always better in live interaction and not online. it looses it's charm.

@arunima25 Or just to make schools safe like having enough space for kids to be able to social distance in. Digital platform? Like learning at home?

@JimBo452020 With our kind of population density and infrastructure, these things are really tough. India is a developing country and we still don't have a good infrastructure in place everywhere.

I see you are doing a lot as a country and eventually online classes will become a normal way of learning. I wonder what the plan is for the children with no access to computers and the internet is. In my country only exam classes are resuming classes on the 1st of June

The recent government had a push for Digital India since last six years and so technology has reached even to the poors and in remote areas. That is a good thing. But still we have some left out and they need to be brought into the loop soon.

@Helikaputo With our kind of population, even the remaining few means a lot....might be equal to population of few small countries together and that is a big challenge. But we are keeping our hopes intact. Developing countries with huge population face too much of challenge.
