The National Hockey League has not given up on this season that has been off since early March. They are currently in talks about finishing the season. They will go right into an adjusted playoff series with the top 24 teams in the league.
From what I am understanding is the 4 teams that are in the top of the standings in the two conferences will get a bye for the first set of games. That leaves 8 teams from each conference who will play a best of 5 series winner moving on to play another winner till there is one team in each conference who will play each other for the Stanley Cup.
At the time the details are still working out and may change. They have not announced when this will start or if games will be open to the public. They will be televised but when or what networks might pick it up has not been announced.
I am excited about this and look forward to seeing some games. I want to see the season played out to an end as long as it is safe for the players and all others involved in the games.
