The Midnight water boiling slog!

Boiling water at midnight

A person boiling water at midnight (in fact at around 12.30 or so!) Well this does sounds uncommon. Yet, due to some problem in our RO, which we can get repaired after some time only(money matters!), the quality of drinking water is a bit suspect. So we fill the water from RO and boil. And as with 40 C plus, the water needs increase. So yesterday night I had to do one boiling around 12.30- yes past midnight. Here is the picture!

Maybe you need a bigger container so you can stock clean water for your needs.

@Alexandoy So you have to store in a lot of containers. And how good is the water supply from the authorities?

@Alexandoy and how is the water quality? Can one drink the tap water straightaway (like I saw in England) or do you need filteration?

@Nakitakona it is easier said than done. For someone used to just walk and get water from RO purifier, it is tough to adjust to the new practice.

@Nakitakona Reverse Osmosis system. It uses a scientific principle to separate out impurities from water. It is useful where water supply quality is not good, and supply tends to have harmful minerals or chemicals.

@LadyDuck We also had to get our AC repaired and a lot of cleaning afterwards. So our dinner was delayed and we could not boil in time. Hence, the midnight boiling!

@LadyDuck Well, most of the water that we boil is in the morning and the evenings, and occasionally, it is later.

It’s wise to kill the germs in the water before you drink it. Fortunately, we don’t have that problem.

@DianneN we had to do it because our RO system is not working to its full strength and needs some changes.

Instead of boiling it on cooking gas, boil it on electric device. This will save gas.

do you boil water at midnight because you don't have water supply during the day?

@hereandthere We have to do it because the flavor of water from our RO (Reverse Osmosis) purifier showed deterioration. And we cannot get an immediate repair/parts replacement done. So we do the additional step of boiling to remove any leftover impurities.

@SHOHANA yes, boiling is good, but we were used to having water directly from the purification system(RO).

@Lakshman15 It was kind of urgent need. Water takes time to cool down and our water intake has increased very much in the high heat.
