My strawberry plants are withering

I have some baby strawberry plants that I transplanted to pots. In the first 3 days they were looking good but now they are wilting and I don't know if they can survive. Maybe it is the daytime heat but I tried placing them in the living room with the AC but still they are wilting. But in the morning, they look fresh and alive.

I don't think the artificial cold of the aircon is good for strawberries. Just put them outside but in a shady place so they are not destroyed of the heat of the sun. I am harvesting some strawberries on my hanging pots again.

They were in a shady place since 4 days ago but they are still withering in the daytime and become alive at night only.

@Lavanya15 maybe a fungus in the soil is killing them.

May be they need more water, and protection from sunlight, or just sunlight in the early morning time?

I tried it yesterday to give them morning sunlight only and placed them inside for the AC. No good effect.

Maybe too much direct sunlight and not enough moisture/water?

There is too much water now and they are in the shade for 5 days now.

@lovebuglena that is true but in this case the plants look better every time they taste water.

They probably needed time to adjust to being transplanted.

I am at a loss. This is the first time it happened. All the previous new plants were okay when transplanted.

Yes, they are young so I am afraid they will die when they are wilting in the daytime.

I'm not sure but maybe you can remove them from direct sunlight during the day, also, when you water them it does it early in the morning before the strong sun and late in the evening

I placed them under the shade for 5 days now but it's still the same. In the daytime the leaves are withered but at night they look alive. This morning they look bad.

Looks like the soil you used in the pot is not suitable for the strawberry plants. Use the same soil from where the plants were removed. I feel the strawberry plants don't grow well in pots.

@Alexandoy ok. The strawberry berry plant needs shade, a little sunlight and daily watering . Hope the pot has proper drainage hole at the bottom

Wow so sensitive plants you got there? have you already tried fertilizers? I guess they're feeling rich plants.

They are young plants that do not need fertilizer yet. They usually just grow to mature and then bear fruits.

Maybe your babies are ready to be put in a bigger space. They want to stretch their little legs. Also, i don't think that they love A/C. Maybe too much water also.

I just have them transplanted in the pots. That's what I usually do. After more than 30 of the young plants, this is the first time that this batch looked sickly.
