What would you do if a job position turned out differently than you expected?

Honestly, I cannot stay working in a company if this situation happened to me. I do not want to pull my legs just to work. It would be better to work with enthusiasm and be contented. Some people would continue to work since they need a job.

I guess it would depend on whether I liked the job I was doing. If so, I would probably continue doing it. I did have a job where I was supposed to be getting trained to work in a machine shop. Turns out they needed someone to be a janitor. After a week and they had not even shown me the operation of any machine, I moved on to another job, where I actually got to work on the machines. (Lathes, drill presses, and milling machines)

To me it would have to depend on my situation and if I really needed the money and not have anything as a back up so may have to stay at job. I have been in jobs that I hated but no back up so stayed as long as I could till either they told me to leave or I had to quit. Right now I am self -employed but that is not easy either.

I can go for that for a short time if I'm desperate.

I agree with you and it happened with me before 4 years. I know value of my work so if someone use us for their sake is not good. Its better to leave and start something new. Currently there are many people who need job so they cant live because they think about present and we can't sat much as everyone has their choice.

@birjudanak I had so many experiences like this before. Some companies still practice nepotism. Despite the company is hiring, the job is considered taken because of this old practice,

@Shavkat There are politics also included in some company where they not allow juniors to comes ups as they know they may create trouble. People like to do work with honestly but if they don't care then maybe some people leave.

@Shavkat if a job doesn't interest you or is too stressful then you loose enthusiasm.

@Lakshman15 We can still think the positives ones when having a job. We can make it exciting in our own ways.

When I worked many years ago outside the home I was lucky and I can say I really enjoyed all my jobs.
