Bike lanes to be constructed

In the news is the construction of the bike lane on major roads for the protection of the bikers. That is in anticipation that the citizens will be using the bicycle for their personal transport since the public transport cannot operate normally. I just hope that they will make the bike lane exclusive for 2 wheels.

We have some bike lanes but bikers go on the sidewalk too. All I can say is that it will work out.

We already had the motorbike lanes before in the main roads but it is used by vehicles so the motorbikes are using other lanes.

This is a great idea if you have a lot of cyclists. I first saw the bike path in the Netherlands. We've had it here for a while

We do not have lots of cyclists but the government is thinking that it will be the trend due to the difficulty of getting a ride in public transport.

@Alexandoy What I also noticed in the photo is the width of that lane for cyclists, it is much wider than here and than the ones I saw in the Netherlands

There is already a motorbike lane in EDSA but it is not exclusive.

We have some here and they are not safe at intersections. The person on the bike has to watch for turning cars.

The intersection is also a concern here not because of the cars but mostly of the motorbikes.

It was done before that the government had a campaign for the bike. But it failed.

The motorcycle lane in EDSA did not succeed because it is not exclusive. When a car is in the motorcycle lane the tendency of the motorcycle is to move to another lane.

Good news indeed A bike lane will reduce accidents. But pedestrians should not be allowed on the lane.
