My brother was hit by a stroke

Today is the 69th birthday of my brother who is in the US. I greeted him in Facebook. He messaged me that he had a stroke and his right eye was affected. There is no other damage. However, the double-vision of his right eye has no medication, it will be for self-healing only. The doctor said 2 to 3 months. The cause of the stroke was the stress at work and lack of sleep often.

Sorry to hear about that. I think your brother is still lucky to have survive the stroke. I think it is time for him to retire from his work.

@thelme55 he is a serious guy unlike me. He used to play golf when he was here. But in the US, I don't think he still plays.

@LadyDuck it is really disturbing to me that my brother was hit by a stroke. I never expected it because he has maintenance medications. But maybe age really has its own way towards health.

@LowRiderX the usual problem that I see with a stroke is diabetes. Most of the stroke patients are diabetic.

So sorry about your brother. My good friend had a stroke last July..it affected his motor skills. He recovered, but he seems to get tired easily. I think he really needs to build up his stamina so he can walk as much as he wants to.

@Alexandoy I am not sure it is warranted really..His motor functions are fine..he may have a heart issue that is causing the tiredness..

Your friend may need therapy. As long as he is not paralyzed then that is good. My brother's damage is only his right eye and the doctor said it will self-heal in 2 months time.

@snowy22315 aw, that is a bigger problem if the heart is the cause of the fatigue.

That is the first thing I asked my brother if he was paralyzed. It's good that only his right eye is affected and it will be self-healing for 2 to 3 months. It has double vision so he is using an eye patch. How are you doing? We missed you here.
