I'm just glad I was there for the little girl

Well, where do I start?
Should I start with the creepy man and his sweet, if not strange, wife? Or maybe the little girl that both of them seemed to neglect in their own way? I guess you could say that I felt compelled to stay with them, if for no other reason than to take care of the little girl.
I can tell you it wasn't easy, and I can also tell you that it ended in the man's death, but well that's getting ahead of myself.
The wife slept most of the day, and what hours she wasn't sleeping, she was either drinking or crafting. Mostly crude little origami pieces or things made out of the millions of bottle caps that were strewn all around the floor. The man stayed in his room except for when he was feeling randy, and then he'd grab up his wife, even if she was unconscious.
I shudder at that even now. The little girl seemed to latch onto me early on. The poor thing had her own problems, some sort of developmental disorder though I don't know what exactly. I fed her, cleaned her and kept her amused for most of the week that I stayed.
It took about a week for the man to even notice my presence, and wow had I wished I'd stayed unnoticed. In those last few moments of his life, I'm sure he was wishing the same thing.
But wait, I wasn't the one to kill him, and honesty it was mostly an accident anyway. I won't spend too much time on the details, but it involved a meal a friend made and a bread tie that fell in without anyone's notice. He just happened to be the one to eat that bit and get it lodged in his throat.
We ran, what else could we do? We grabbed up the girl and just booked it around the lake. He fell in, half grabbing at his throat, half trying to stay above water. I kept the girl's eyes focused on the scenery behind me. She was only two, but I didn't want her to witness this and ask questions.
Then I woke up but not before like five million other things happened, a lot of it not even really involving this couple.

@Hannihar Very busy! This one was an extra long dream with so many other parts to it. I only wrote the one that I could remember with the most detail.

You do participate in the weirdest events in your dreams.

Later in the dream I was at this abandoned mall that looked like it was on a movie set. I think sometimes that my subconscious has so much it wants to show me that it just blends them altogether.

Oh my goodness! I don't know if I've ever had someone die in my dreams.

I have before, and it was terrifying. This wasn't as terrifying because the man was a bad one.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I try to make them as realistic with my words as they were in my head.
