I am no expert doing this thing but of course I do when need to be done. I did some wood work but when I install the nail at one side, my body was not in a good position that when I hammered, my thumb was accidentally hit strong. That hurts so much and my vision turns dark a while. The area is bruising and it's still painful. I can't move the finger affected when it happened.

you must be really in pain. fingers have large number of nerve endings which make them very sensitive. hope your thumb has not turned blue due to the blood clot.

@ZedSmart dip thd injured finger in warm water. This will improve blood circulation and reduce the swelling.
hope blood is not oozing out. Then in that case you need to apply first aid and avoid the wound to come in contact with water
