I Can’t Say “No”

I just returned from my morning walk, showered, and sat down to a nice, hot, cup of coffee and some myLot, when I received a text from my younger son. He asked if we’d like to go for a walk with him this morning. How could I deny that? It’s a sunny and beautiful day here and a joy to hear his weekend stories and other tidbits. He makes us laugh as well as think. ~The photo is from Google. Our son wants to cage dive with the Great Whites off the coast of South Africa as soon as possible. It’s his life. How can I say, “No!”~

I hope you had a lot of fun, talking a walk with your son. He loves spending quality time with his mom and dad Cage dive with the Great White sharks off the coast of South Africa? This brings back childhood memories of our family reunions!

And we miss him! He had a busy week, so we haven’t had a chance to get together.

@Janet357 Yes, this son does. My older son lives in New York City, which is too far for a walk.

Your son looks like quite an adventurous person. He would get a chance to do that dive but might have to wait, at least a few months. So how was the walk today?

He loves scuba diving and this is on his bucket list. He swam with whale sharks a few years ago and checked that off his bucket list. He knows he won't be going until life is safe once again, but is getting antsy. The walk was great, but we walked so far and forced my husband to keep up with us. He's not used to it.

Looking at the photo, I'm glad it wasn't a shark you couldn't say no to . I hope you had a lovely sunny walk with your son! I hear there are sharks popping up on our coast .

@DianneN I'm not a good swimmer - no way I'd scuba dive! Although with a shark cage, I suppose I don't have to fear drowning, but I wouldn't want to look like a chew toy for a shark ! Sounds like your husband got in a good workout .

You won't catch me scuba diving or even going into a cage with sharks! Thanks! We had a wonderful walk and made my husband walk much further than he had wanted to walk. He doesn't know what's good for him! I wouldn't be surprised if you have sharks popping up on your coast, too. They were there when we visited!!!

You are so lucky to have your mom to walk with. When we walk with our son, it's always fun and great exercise for my husband. We walk so long and so far, that my husband has no choice but to come with us. Diving period is not for me.

@nela13 My husband likes shorter walks around the neighborhood and a leisurely stroll in the evening. Walking isn’t his thing. He prefers working out at the gym or golf, neither of which are opened here. Poor guy. Right now he’s busy working in the yard, so that’s good exercise for him for now.

Our son loves scuba diving and snorkeling. Besides the untouched reefs in Wakatobi, his next favorite was swimming with whale sharks in a remote area off the coast of Mexico. I'm not into that, but he enjoys it.
