So, what did I see on my travels today? Something incredibly beautiful. What, the sea? The mountains? A waterfall? A river?? No. A Putt Putt. I haven’t played in over ten months. That came to an end today in Kingsport, Tennessee. There’s a national tournament in Kingsport this weekend, and since I was so close (comparatively speaking) I thought I’d swing by and say hi to everyone. I hadn’t seen a lot of these good folks since 2012, when the Nationals were in Columbus, Indiana. And, while a lot of people hadn’t arrived yet (the tournament starts Saturday), there were plenty of people there getting practice in. Lots of hugging going on!!!! It was so, so good to see all my brothers again (and sisters, including Olivia, who’s from the Czech Republic and came over to play the tournament!). Although I’m not playing this weekend I did pay my greens fees and slap a few around. The Kingsport course is very challenging, so the players will have their hands full this weekend. After a few hours of playing and chatting with buddies old and new I headed for more adventures, leaving them with wishes for a great tournament and safe travels back to their homes. It was a most beautiful sight.

Summer in the mountains is gorgeous. There are so many different shades of green because of the varying weather in the different altitudes.

@FourWalls yes...I would agree to this so much. And it is so pathetic in the plains.

I'm so glad you were able to see many of your old friends and play some putt-putt.

I used to love to play Putt Putt. I haven't played in years. I'm glad you were able to connect with old friends.

It sounds like social distancing is currently done there in KY? I can't wait for that day here in Michigan. Someone shared about holding and I was going to tell them that putt putt was the only type of golfing I've done but I couldn't remember the term not having played for over thirty years or so.

It must be like coming out of hibernation - not that I know what that feels like.

I miss the activities with friends that I sometimes wish to go back in time before the covid era.
