I Had A Beautiful Yellow Banana

This morning, I finally had a beautiful yellow banana to enjoy. It took days before it was just the right yellow. It was delicious, worth the waiting period. How do you like your bananas? I know that when mine get too ripe, I mashed them and freeze them for making a future banana bread or banana muffins. Do you use bananas in your baking?

I use banana in my no bake fudge. I've also used it in ice cream because it was recommended to me here. I like mine with a few brown spots.

@marlina Well, the bananas keep it softer. I tend to have a little more chocolate than banana when I make it. It's something I haven't made in awhile, but it is a sort of "sweet cheat" because I don't add any extra sugar to it.

I only bake with bananas if they get too ripe to eat. There is nothing quite like a perfect banana.

Haven't made banana bread in several years, really must have a go sometime. I like bananas slightly green, as they aren't too soft

When I used to be able to bake I would make banana bread. It's soooo good. I like my bananas once the green is all gone and they are still firm.

We bake with over ripe bananas too . . . bread or muffins. Our bananas get ripe real quick - probably because it's always so warm.

There is a short period of time during a banana's life when it is just perfect to peel and eat. I cannot eat them if they have started to get mushy nor do I eat them if they are too hard.
