Since many weeks, and rather almost 2 and a half months, I was only running my car within my residential society complex. I was avoiding going out as one never knew whether one could be stopped by cops, and the lockdown conditions were very strict.
However, things are opening up, so I decided to take a small ride just outside my residential complex. Traffic is slightly more than before, but not as heavy as it was pre Lockdown.
Many shops and roadside vendors are coming back to work. Yet risks do remain.

So what is the reason for you not buying a car? Less need for transportation?

Most of our restrictions have been lifted now, thank goodness. The only new cases have all been people coming into Australia from overseas. They go straight from the airport into quarantine so hopefully they are not infecting others.

Things were handled quite well in Australia. That has not been the case in US, Brazil, UK and to some extent in India.
The plus point in the case of India is that the number of recoveries has been high, and mortality rate is lower than many countries.
Yet some worrying hotspots like the capital city Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat and a few pockets in other states.

@JudyEv Yes let us hope for the best. In a few days, the normally crowded Metro Train services and Malls would be opened up with restrictions. Let us hope things remain in control.
I would still avoid these places, as they use AC a lot, and transmission of virus in AC, and less ventilation can be lethal.

Yes, so one first needs to evaluate when and why to step out, and try to follow the guidelines.

Seeing things getting back to near normal feels so good. But yes, carelessness is a strict no, as we are still seeing cases here and there.

Yes each one can look after oneself now. Others won't come to help us.
