TV won´t let me take a nap. Braveheart.

The hours in which TV in my country show something good are usually moments where I should be sleeping. Today I had lunch (fried rice and breaded chicken with a Caribbean sauce) plus broccoli fried in the rest of the egg I had used for the chicken. I thought that I´d make the apple omelet for tea after a nap. And then, to close my eyes, I turned on the TV. And I had to watch the movie again. Braveheart was on, the wonderful Scottish sage, with Mel Gibson in the leading role. I could not sleep. Have you seen it? If you haven´t do it. If you saw it a long time ago, watch it again. The movie won several Oscars including Best Movie. After that I gardened a bit (5more marigolds in new containers), watered my plants and now I´m ready to make the omelet. See you later, friends

Freedom!!!!!! Oh dear. About as Scottish as a London Taxi. Not at all factual. Most Scots dont like the film. How it won an Oscar belies belief. The accents were awful. Not like us at all. And an Australian playing the part of our hero. At least it wasnt an Englishman.

You are right for the most part. But movies are movies. these movies, even the best ones, are fiction in part. just imagine that in my country some people see it with the voices changed into Spanish For a great part of the world, the film helped learn about someone they hadn´t heard at all in their lives. I then went to the Wikipedia and they don´t know much about him either. After all, it happened around 1270.

@JimBo452020 It seems that he was born that year. Yet, do you think that any historian can be accurate in that? I guess the most that anyone can know is the date of a battle.

Yes it's true in this age of 24 hour entertainment the best are often shown when we want to sleep . I don't remember watching the movie Brave heart starring Mel Gibson but it did very well at the box office and the Oscars.

I saw The Patriot too. A very good movie that is probably more real than the sugar coated ones we saw decades ago.

@marguicha I saw it on one of the cable channels the first time. It's been a very long time ago. I didn't think I would like that kind of movie but it came on one day and caught my attention and I watched the whole movie.

I haven't seen that movie yet. But I am familiar with it because it was a famous movie back when I was in elementary. Apple omelet sounds nice. Perhaps, my daughter would love it. I'll check the recipe on Youtube.
