I have heard of birthday curses since my childhood. However I doubt that Robert and his wife Sharon Steinmiller were victims of a wedding anniversary curse. The couple were celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary on Saturday riding on a kayak at the Connoquessing Creek in Wayne Township Pennsylvania when they were knocked off of their kayaks. The couple then fell into some dangerous rapids underneath the 5th Street bridge. Sharon was able to reach the shore and climb up a hill that took her an hour to ask the authorities to help her find her husband who was missing. Thanks to the assistance of several rescue teams in the area, they were able to find Robert and their dog safe and sound after their kayak scare on Saturday. The dog as well as Robert are okay after they were rescued.

Lucky to come out alive from the rapids. A memorable yet scary anniversary event to remember a lifetime.

That is true since I have heard of family and/or birthday curses but never a wedding anniversary curse.

@Deepizzaguy That must have been an interesting way to celebrate their anniversary. That is horrible what happened to them. I am glad she made it to shore. I am so glad they found her husband and their dog and that they are both ok.

It sounds as if they were all very lucky to have survived being capsized.

@Deepizzaguy though it must be for fun, i do not think that is fun at all for the couple.

Neither would I since my late mom always told me to be careful for birthday curses.

I agree with you since it would have been a tragic event on their wedding anniversary if one of them passed away.
