Ferries are ships for transporting people and goods on shorter distances. They most often drive between the mainland and the island or between the islands. Many say that it is much more comfortable to ride in them than, say, on boats or smaller boats. Have you ever taken a ferry?

Yes, several times. Across rivers in Germany, between Denmark and Sweden; from the Italian mainland to the Italian islands of Sardinia / Ischia / Capri; from the Netherlands to England. From England to the Isle of Skye. From the mainland in Yogoslavija (when it was still Yugoslavia) to the island of Rab. From the city of Lisbon across the wide river Tejo to the suburbs. In New York from Manhattan to Staten Island. From the banks of the river Nile to an island in the river where there is a famous cemetery. That's all I can think of at the moment.

I did 5 times. Java -Bali 3 times. Bali lombok return (2 times). According to me many ferries are dirty in my place. Since it's bigger than boat/speedboat, its more stable when hit by the wave. But still we can feel the move and some of us might get headache, stomacahe and want vomit. I ever taken some types of water vehicule :traditional boat from wooden (jukung), fastboat, ferry, catamaran, open deck + cabin boat (economist varian of phinishi lol), and big ship that could accomodate hundreds to thousands people.

Even you can be iniside and not see water you can still feel stomacahe. Many people say same thing.
