Kangkung or water spinach?

Water spinach is one of the favorites of Indonesian vegetable. There are wild water spinach in lake or river, but now farmer also grow them too. Water spinach is easily available in markets. Water spinach is widely found in Asia and is a plant that can be found almost everywhere. In Malaysia nad Indonesia, we call it "kangkung".

We also called it Kangkong in the Philippines. I buy it here in our Asian shop in Germany. The rest lower part of the kangkong, I put in the vase with water and they grow well with just water. Later I harvested them and fried them

In our place wild water grown vegetables called as allu in marathi and colocasia in english is widely used to prepare vegetable dishes and snacks like allu wadi.
