It is undeniable that the Korean wave especially in the entertainment sector has truly hypnotized the world. For example through music and film. But no less interesting, of course, their drama series are able to present a very varied and interesting theme. The Korean drama players are generally very total when acting, and supported by a beautiful face. Are you also a big fan of Korean dramas? Who is your current Korean idol actor or actress?

@DeepikaGoodluck Of course, I memorized the story from beginning to end. The Indonesian Wayang Story takes the setting of the story from the two stories above.

But I warn watching Korean drama is very addictive. After you watch the first episode, you don't want to stop watching until the last episode. This is because the story is very curious.

The only Korean film I have seen--or that I am aware of--is "Parasite" which didn't thrill me but I understand Netflix will be showing a lot of them so I will probably see more of them.

Korean films are also many good ones, but I think the drama series is more interesting. Especially those that tell about the Korean era of the Joseon era. The ending of the story is often completely unexpected, unlike the ending of the fairy tale Cinderella or Snow White.

I've never heard or read anything about Korean drama on German TV. I think it's an Asian thing.

@Babale Germany has 80+ million inhabitants. How can I know what they mainly watch? I can only speak for the people I know and I'm sure that they don't watch Korean dramas.

If you get interested, you can try watching on the internet. Lots of free movie sites that show Korean Drama in full. Netflix is also widely available.

I live in the USA and I really enjoy Korean dramas. In fact if you look through my discussions you will see that I have quite a few tagged “Korean drama” or “Kdrama”. I especially like the historical period dramas (set in Chosun). But I also like some of the modern series. My first intro to K-drama was via Netflix. But that streaming site did not have enough, at the time, so I looked elsewhere and found other streaming site. You can find some on YouTube. I used to watch Drama Fever but they shut down. Now I find shows on Viki, And Netflix now has a separate category where you can search specifically for Korean drama. Yes you can find a lot of Korean dramas if you live in the USA, with English subtitles, and they are addictive. One of the guys you pictured is my favorite. Lee Min-ho. Isn't he gorgeous??!!!

I think that's precisely the advantage of drama over film. The long series can make the story really complex from beginning to end. Different from the longest film up to 2 hours.

I believe. I started liking Drakor for the first time when I watched Secret Garden on RCTI a few years ago, then continued watching Empress Ki on Trans 7. Since then I have watched all the dramas and films starring Ha Ji Won. What I like the most is the Korean Drama Memories Of Bali, I have even watched it repeatedly until now, because of its unusual ending.
