Why has this heinous murder of a black man received so little media and Black Lives Matter attention?

The other day, I read of a 77-year-old black man murdered during the riots and looting in St. Louis. He was not being arrested. In fact he was protecting a pawn shop that may have belonged to a friend.
He was, as I understand it, a former police captain, and beloved in his community. But I stumbled on this story and can't even remember how. Fortunately video was available, and an arrest has been made.
Why has this story received so little press coverage, and so little commentary from Black Lives Matter? I am confused. Had you heard about this murder? Your thoughts?

In this country. If they showed every black or gay murder, would be 24.7 7 days week thing, with the next school or mass shooting mixed in. Something is off with this country. I do think they are focusing on the police's behavior because they are supposed to set the example, but they have been so violent, its even making more rioters and looters come out of the woodwork and act all violent.

@TheHorse Yeah.. I still say Epstein is the conspiracy there that actually makes sense. Trump was in there some where so he had to go.

@crossbones27 Farrow makes only brief references to Trump's antics. He focuses on the Hollywood scene.

But what percentage of cops are unnecessarily violent? When they successfully deescalate a tense situation, or give give first aid to a drunken black man who has fallen on the sidewalk and banged his head, as I watched them do the other day, it does not make the news.

Once in a while, in my country, homophobic people either kill or hurt gay people just because of their genre. The punishment is not as much as it should be

I am very sad about how some people read life. There should not be a movement called Black Lives Matter. There should be a movement called "Lives Matter". I am shocked by any extreme movements that want to help a part of the community. While women, races or genres should be more respected, the first thing we should learn is about respect. Towards any human being.

@TheHorse Yes, and I am convinced that Black Lives Matter is violent and hypocritical. Why anybody is supporting them is crazy.

@LeaPea2417 My college just sent them $50,000. I will never donate money to that college again. But who is "them"? Do they have an office and a treasurer? I'm confused. I thought it was just a movement.

I had not heard it and it is atrocious. Perhaps the reason why they did not pay attention to it was because they are focused on other things right now and their objective is not what it seems, I think that all lives matter, we are all human and we need justice, I cannot assure anything but this new movement It seems to bring a political conflict in which communism is involved.

@therealanthony I'm not big on conspiracy theories, though foreign powers obviously do try to influence our elections. I see selfish politicians pandering to different groups, trying to get their votes.

@TheHorse Believe me, there may be communist conspiracies interfering in the affairs of their politics, it suits them and well, there is certain evidence and people involved that have to do with communism in Latin America and are involved with the movement.

@TheHorse Of the story, including by CNN. What is the relation between this murder of a black security guard by a black burglar and the murder committed by a policeman abusing of his power in Minneapolis ?
A St. Louis man has been charged with murder in the death of retired St. Louis police officer David Dorn, who was shot during a pawn shop burglary in last week's protests in the city.

I think I seen something about that on FB. Glad they made an arrest. Its because he was a good guy that just happened to get caught in the riots.

@wolfgirl569 I guess it's something I'll want to know, eventually. But it's not my main concern.
