A renter who was blowing leaves outside of his rental property in Franklinville North Carolina witnessed the loss of his home when a fire began in the basement and spread to the first floor of his rental home. However the owner of the rental property can thank his dog for barking to alert him of the dangerous situation nearby which saved their lives. The incident which began on Wednesday morning grabbed the attention of Franklinville Fire Department Captain Pete Sulzer who lives nearby to contacted the local fire department to send help to put out the fire. 11 firefighters from the Franklinville Fire Department as well as three firefighters from the Eastside Fire Department came to put out the fire which destroyed the rental home. Investigators will find out the cause of the fire that will have the owner of the rental home seek assistance from the American Red Cross or relatives to find him and his pet a temporary home.

@Deepizzaguy the dog must feel like a million dollars right now with the way his owner is treating it right now.

@Deepizzaguy Dogs really do help others. I hope they get the help to find a home for both of them.

It would really be awful to lose your home - and particularly at this time.
