Traditional Medicinals Healthy Cycle

I've considered making this a longer discussion, but decided against it. Mainly because I don't think a lot of people would be willing to discuss it further. I'm drinking this tea and have been for several days now. I drink two or three cups a day as well as taking DIM supplements and Progesterone Cream. Disclaimer : Men, if you haven't figured it out by now, I'm talking about "women's troubles"... continue at your own risk. This seems to be working for me to a degree, but I also realize that I should not do this every single day. I am considering other teas I've seen, but these are not FDA backed. No, for the millionth time, I am not going to go to the doctor for this (wrote that preemptively because a lot of people say "dear you should be going to the doctor...") I'm also considering a salve that I've seen, again not FDA backed. I don't really agree with modern medicine for myself. I will take it when necessary, but I try to take as little medicine as possible, especially with all the additives put in such pills. I don't have any questions to give or anything like that... But I guess.. Do you agree with modern medicine?

I do, but it doesn't know everything, and I think the best treatments are to combine Western and holisitic medicines or Western and Eastern medicine.

Right. I'm not completely opposed to Western Medicine, but I try to avoid it where I can. I guess I've seen too many family members rely on Western medicine to their own detriment.

Yes, that's how I feel. There may be some good things in the medicine, but too many of the things are laden down with preservatives and things to make the pill look more palatable.

@LadyDuck I go to my spice cabinet as much as I can, and I research about different herbs or even what vitamins and nutrients we get from what vegetables and how they support our health.

@ScribbledAdNauseum If it is not really necessary I try natural remedies first.

I'm all for "natural" remedies. That being said, even natural remedies are "medicinal" and one does need to be cautious about how much to take, how long, how it reacts with other stuff being taken. I've been drinking various teas on and off for years. Although there are good things about modern medicine, there is also the bad. I kinda think it's gone away from helping people get to the root of their problems . . . they go by the old text book and then prescribe the latest pills. I don't completely trust the FDA either.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Did that tea help? I like hearing about it when there are good results. I need to review all the stuff that I drink . . . I've done it so regularly now that I am forgetting why I'm drinking some of this stuff . I hate big pharma !

@much2say I was just thinking this morning how the tea seems to have helped. I started drinking it on the 8th of June when I received. I drank it every day except for yesterday and today, sometimes three cups a day. I noticed that not only did it shorten my cycle, it lightened the flow too. Of course, I was also taking the DIM supplements and the Progesterone at the same time, so it may have been a combination of all three of those things.

Yes, I know herbs can cause irritation to our systems just as much. It's why I do not intend to use this tea like this for much longer. I am trying this for this "cycle" (laughable since I don't have a normal one), and want to try Lady's Mantle Tea for another. I feel like medicine now is more or less a way for rich people to get richer.

Do I agree with it..only when necessary. I hope that these what you got will help you Amber. I have often cured myself when the docs could not.

Lots of docs just like to shove pills down your throat, I don't like that. I hope it helps too. Of course, I need to be a good girl and start eating healthier too.

I have a lot of faith in modern medicine. It keeps several of my conditions at bay. I am always cautious when I take a new med though. So far I don't have any side effects. Take care.

Yes, I know that there are far more conditions than I can even fathom that actually do benefit from modern medicine... I just don't wholeheartedly agree with it myself.

Yes, I believe it is too. I think it can be helpful, but that there are far too many side effects to taking modern medicine.

I dont depend on modern medicine because it has side effects. One major organ they would damage is your kidney. If tea does not give me stomach ache, i will drink it.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I will take modern medicine if necessary, but I try pretty much anything else first.
