Katelyn Lemmer who is an emergency medical technician that screens persons who enter the Brick Township Municipal Building in New Jersey came close to losing her life when she started to choke on her food that cut off air going into her lungs. Katelyn was able to get the attention of the police officers who were near her when she was able to get their attention that she was choking. Sergeant Austin Kenny came to the aid of Katelyn by using the Heimlich maneuver who cleared the food object from her body so she could breathe again. The first aid training came in handy to save Katelyn from losing her life while she was on the clock.

Heimlich maneuver is indeed life saving if done correctly. The police officers who responded must be rewarded for their presence of mind and saving a life.

The city will reward the police officers with an award at a ceremony later this year.

@Nakitakona Every police department has a few rogue police officers who abuse the badge.

@Deepizzaguy yes that's true but there are police who have a killer instinct. What had happened to Floyd, to another black man who were killed by the police.

I agree with you since Katelyn had the good fortune to have a trained police officer who know how to use his first aid skills to good use in saving her life.
