The Wildness in Me

I was sorting through some stuff today and was reminded that as a small child I was very shy and meek and quiet. Then as a teenager, I must have had excess energy stored up and I was ready to take on the world. Well, take on high school anyway and mom has all sorts of problems with me. I tried to be good but it was hard I mean there was all this fun to be had, friends to go out with, and of course rock and roll. I sort of simmered down in my young adulthood because I had to get through university but I was trying hard to still be a wild child. I know in Latvia me and my soul mate had some pretty wild times when we really enjoyed ourselves with friends. Once these friends drifted away we sort of became settled and the wild times were far in between. What brought all this on was that today I was listening to the radio from Riga, Latvia, and remembering the songs and the good times. Suddenly I felt pretty much like I had years ago wanting to go out and have some fun but no one to have fun with anymore. You know I have been thinking about getting another cat but perhaps at this stage of life and how I feel a dog might suit me better. Can’t you just picture the two of us running all over the place and just having a good time? So this song from the band Smokie came to mind “Wild Wild Angels.”
