Mowed the lawn in the wrong shoes, my newest shoes. Shorter post.

They are my newest shoes. I didn't think to look at the bottom first. With most of my shoes I'm able to get the bottom cleaned by just scraping them on the grass. Until these are cleaned I'm concerned about falling if I wear them to work. I would like to wear them tomorrow so I should continue working on getting the grass out and then maybe hose them off? The one pic is what's come out of the grooves this far. Both shoes were just as filled with grass but the one I worked on the most.

That is hard to get rid of. I think mowing the lawn is easier to do than that.

@thelme55 somewhat easier maybe. I got them as clean as I can and I think I can wear them again. Thanks for explaining.

@MarshaMusselman what I meant was that mowing the lawn is easier done than getting rid of the grass in your shoes.

@amitkokiladitya and this was on the low end of a disaster or mistake. I may have ruined new shoes but I was thinking of trying a different brand sometime anyway. Just have to keep my eyes out for sales.

@MarshaMusselman sometimes we end up doing disasters no matter how hard we try to avoid.

Yes it did I looked at my previous pair and it has half or even less of the grooves this pair does so I didn't even think about it first.

I'll have to remember in case I ever more my lawn again since we hired lawn guys recently too keep up our lawn. It was taking us several weeks to get it mowed. I'll have to remember to switch shoes when gardening too.

You definitely need to get them cleaned or you will slip for sure. The grass certainly likes the grooves in your shoes

I'm going to try spraying it out the rest of the way here shortly and then see. If it works they should be dry by tomorrow.

Definitely, and they're still not perfect but I bought them work work so I guess they're okay for that. I need to go show shopping to find something for my daughter's wedding. I don't know yet if I'll be comfortable enough in Sandler if some type or not. I've not work Sandler since before my knee replacements.

@MarshaMusselman That grass in the sneakers has happened to me, too. I'm clueless as to what Sandler is, but have fun show shopping.

You are right, you need to clean your shoes thoroughly to remove lot of grass struck in the sole or else they are likely to be slippery.

That is a lot of grass. I've never seen shoes collect that much grass before.
