Miracle in Pleasant Hill!

I think I wrote a few weeks ago about how my phone slipped off of my shoulder and fell into my kitchen sink.
Of course, it died like a big dog and I had to resort to using an old clunker that I had rescued from the cabin in Montana.
MyLotters were kind, and made many suggestions about how to rescue the drowned phone, including leaving it in dry rice for a few days to absorb the moisture, removing and drying the battery, etc.
What I did was removed the battery, made sure it was dry, reinserted it, and left the phone on the charger for a coupe of days. The red "charging" light did go on, so I knew that some electrical current was passing through the phone.
On the third day, I was literally (well, figuratively) lacing up my sneakers to go get a new phone when I gave my drowned friend one last try. It worked!
So I have my phone back and have been using the last few weeks. The only thing still compromised is my speaker phone. The button does nothing. But I may bathe that button in De-Oxit (electronic contact cleaner) and see if I get it working again.
Any miracles in your life recently?

The only thing you'll have to watch out for now is any corrosion/rust on the internal components as a result of it getting wet. But otherwise, you should be fine if you've got it working again.
No major miracles in m life at this time.

@TheHorse I dropped a work phone in the toilet once, and once I dried it out and got it working again, I think it lasted for another couple of years without any issues. But by that point we upgraded due to new and better models coming out.

Finally settled my lawsuit re: my trip and fall on city street. It only took three and a half years.

@TheHorse I won't know the final amount until I see the cheque. I settled for $27,500 but after lawyers fees (30%) and other incidentals... maybe $15,000?

That happens for me too! Approximately 50% of the time. Here's a cute scene from Little Big Man.
