A couple and their cat are thankful that a concerned eyewitness contacted the authorities to report that their 50 foot houseboat was sinking into the Scuppernong River in Wilmington North Carolina. The U S Coast Guard sent a helicopter and a rescue boat to rescue the couple and their cat from the Elizabeth City station. The couple after were rescued from a terrible fate were taken by the helicopter to the Northeastern Regional Airport where they reunited with their cat. @JudyEv I have yet to stay in a houseboat even though I used to deliver food to many of them in New Orleans.
