Wearing perfume and social distancing

Come to think of it, what is the perfume for? This was the argument of my brother. Perfume or cologne is for the nose of other people. Maybe he is right. So are people still wearing perfume now that social distancing has isolated us from other people? No one to smell your perfume.

Most wear what they like to smell.

Yes, that is true. I wouldn't use a perfume of a woman.

Some people go overboard with the amount of perfume or cologne they wear. I passed a lady this morning, I was easily 2-3 KMs away from her, and through my mask I could smell her perfume. It was overwhelming, even from the distance I was at and with my mask on.

Wow, 2 or 3 kilometers away. You can report her for air pollution, waheehee.

@Alexandoy Haha, I meant meters! If I could smell her from a few kilometers away, we'd all be in some serious trouble!

@moffittjc at least my eyesight is still working well, waheehee. But seriously, that person might have just sprayed the perfume so you could smell it. After 30 minutes the perfume will not be that potent anymore.

I go for deodorants that make me smell less and feel comfortable on hot and humid weather. May be now I have become habitual.

I actually do not like perfume or cologne. If I smell on someone else, I know I am too close to that person (in regards to social distancing ).

@Alexandoy I heard that you can't smell smells that are on you because you get used to it. Unless the perfume or cologne is too strong I guess. I get a headache if any of that kind of smell is too strong.

You are right. When you smell the perfume then you are too close. I wonder if people can smell my perfume because I don't smell it at all. Or maybe something is wrong with my olfactory nerves, waheehee.

@much2say that is true to me. After spraying the perfume on myself, I cannot smell it anymore after a few seconds. But I can smell the perfume of another when he is close to me.

Some people like to think they smell nice even if they are not associating closely with others.

This reminds me of my brother who we say was taking a shower with perfume. He said that he looks handsome when he smells nice.

Haha well there are people who like to smell good for themselves. Though l am not very fond of it myself because whenI was young I had allergic reaction to it because I have rhinitis so I was able to use that when I was already an adult and working and my sensitivity to it got tamed.

I am also not fond of using perfume or cologne. In fact, those bottles are not opened yet except for the Old Spice that I use as after shave.

I certainly don't wear perfume for others. I wear perfume because I like how I smell when I wear one.

Wow! The 3 looks like they came straight right out of the 60s and 70s I had Jovan and Brute cologne when I was in high school and my father used Old Spice deodorant lol. I still love those scents even today.

@Alexandoy = When I was growing up, all the men folks in my family got Old Spice as a Christmas present. I have 5 sons and I don't notice any of them using Old Spice. That's why I asked. I have seen Brut and Jovan though.

@cmoneyspinner the Old Spice bottle is my father's usual after shave lotion so I remember it when I was young. But times have changed and there are many new brands now like Bvlgari and Versace.

I wear perfume for myself not for other people to smell me. I canĀ“t stand women who are using very strong perfume. They stink.

Perfume nowadays is not important, 'cause no one will smell you, because of the protocol, social distancing. But much better to spray that at home. But actually, perfume can help for not smell bad odor. I used most perfume spray at home. I want to stay in my room feel fresh always. Have a wonderful day, sir. I love your perfume posted.
