Yes, I'm stealing this teaser title from @TheHorse . I'll pay him back with a Jesse Winchester song soon. Meanwhile....... Wednesday was our second week of putting tournaments after a really belated start. The first week, I played as if I hadn't played in a year (which is almost true: I had to sit out the last half of last season with my back and shoulder). Last night, I still had the "yips," but not nearly as badly as the first week. I managed to improve by 11 strokes and take second place, which netted me $10 in tournament winnings. Today, I went inside my credit union for the first time since March. I've been accumulating loose change since then. Way back in the early 70s my dear grandfather of blessed memory made me a coin bank out of a barrel that once held his pipe tobacco. Oh, yes, I still have it, you bet. What I do is keep a small container in the car to collect change I get at the grocery, drive-thru, or wherever. After it gets full I bring it in and dump it in the barrel. Once a month I take the barrel to the credit union. That hasn't been possible since the lockdown, until now. So today I lugged a rather heavy barrel loaded with change into the lobby of the credit union. How much change? Almost fifty four dollars' worth. That'll pay my tournament entry fees next weekend!!!
