Why some people can easily shout at others- ill mannered public school teacher

For over a week now I still cannot get over that incident when a public school teacher yelled at me. Where has her manners gone to? She has no license to do that to me as we have no business with each other. I reported the matter to the supervisor, and I hope they deal with the matter accordingly. I am not demanding for apology but that woman must mend her ways. Whatever situation their family is into at the moment, that does not give her liberty to yell and hurl words at me. So unbecoming of a public educator.

@mrki444 that's exactly is also my question. I wanted to confront her and ask why? But it was phone conversation. I hope the supervisor will call both of us in one venue and I will ask why did she shout at me.

@florelway it looks like a strong story with a back story. So she just yelled at you with no reason at all? That sounds strange to me.

@Alexandoy I do not know if I am even supposed to be entangled in their affairs but as far as I am concerned I have no business with them. I answered the phone mainly because I thought they have some inquiries. According to my staff they have overheard the brother talking irritatingly with the woman before the phone was passed on to me.

It was a telephone call. Her brother my office mate passed the phone to me and I thought she was inquiring something but when I spoke she immediately kept shouting not letting me talk then she hung up.I told the brother why did he pass on the phone to me just to let her sister yell at me? The brother was very apologetic but that did not appease me.

Good that you informed the supervisor. I`m sure they will do something about it because it`s not right to do that to a student in public places even when talking with you one on one. Teacher must talk with their student in a calm way in order for them to listen and understand the problem

I fully agree with you, you leave your personal matters behind you while you work and deal with other people, she was rude, you were right to report her.

That was very wise to report her to the supervisor. That kind of behavior is unacceptable no matter where it takes place!!!

What ever the reason that the teacher yelled at you, Teacher should have a good manner, ideal so that students will listen to her,but in another way. Respect begets respect.

I think people have forgotten the way to talk these days....I can see every next person misbehaving with the other.... It's sad .. but sometimes no choice.... Plus, coming all this from an educator is a shame...
