Humbled and Tired.

Could have chosen a better time than a pandemia, but my deep well motor gave way. Seven days ago. Could endure a little hunger, but thirst, no! With the deep well as the source of my water, I was prepared with a drum and water containers (slims), and covered pails filled with reserve. Would last three or four days for daily usage, was sure, till the plumbers used every drop in the drum. Hu hu. That meant I had to bring the clothes hamper to the public laundry. Was thinking about that idiom 'don't wash your linen in public.' Yaaaiikkksss! Stashed all the panties, brassieres, socks, face towels in a laundry net, shirts and shorts in another, eco bags and travel kits in another, hoping the zippers don't give way. The laundry lady welcomed me amiably, and I was surprised she said she'd package wash and fold for a sum of a hundred fifty pesos. The towels and the the pants included, I had three hampers in all. Okay, I said, but did remind her of the coronavirus. She asked what were the water containers for, and I said I need water for dish washing. She took all my twelve containers and said she'd give me for free. Wow, thank you, I said. After going to the machine shop for my deep well motor, drove through a food chain and ordered a two burgers and two spaghetti, for the laundry girl and me. When I came back, all my stuff were ready, warm still and neatly folded. Hay! The laundry lady put everything in the back of the car, it was the unloading in my home that was exhausting. Sigh. Comfortable in my quarantine, God deemed it wise to give me an activity. Compared to many, sigh, I must never complain. Motor will be repaired in five more days. That means I have to go to my daughter's unit for leisurely baths. Hu hu.

Water is very important. I can live with no electricity but with water I have to order a truck when I take a bath, waheehee.

@Janet357 I waste water, too, during baths. More when I water the plants. Hu hu. Thought about that now that I am short of water.

A thirty minute drive to my daughter's unit. I'd go there tomorrow. For today, I had my pitiful bath already.

@SHOHANA Thank you. The back is still aching. Muscles got pulled. Hu hu. Watching 'Independence Day' or 'Lost Bullet' on netflix in a while, to give my back a rest.

She did the extra mile. Just wanted to repay the kindness. Yup, I could take baths there, though security is strict this pandemia time.

Now you are at ease. Well, you need to wait for 5 days for you to live normally as far as your deep well motor is concerned.

Yup. No cooking. Bought bread and other pastries, fruits and milk. That would be for now. Our good God probably saw my anguish watching my plants dry up. He sent rain.

with the well motor under repair you are truly facing lot of hardship. you could have asked for a standby motor till your motor gets repaired.

Sigh. No such thing as spare motor for rent. Hu hu. But that is a very good idea.

@jayanth_77 Deep well is not allowed in the country any longer. Not many people need motor for the well. That's why there ain't no spare any more.

@eileenleyva at my place the motor repair person will install the standby motor while he takes our motor for repair. It's mostly free of charge or at a nominal daily rental.

I understand it's tiring, but I hope you're feeling used to it by now, if not better. Hang in there! Just 2 or 3 more days to go.
