I mentioned our stop at the Butterfly Palace yesterday and wanted to share a bit about the butterflies. They had a nice assortments in the natural environment that they have for their butterflies. The exhibit is created to look as much as their natural environment as possible and was really a nice and relaxing place to visit.
The indoor aviary houses over 1,000 live butterflies on any given day. Each day they also release new butterflies from their chrysalis every day. You can view the development of them through a window in the rainforest adventure room.
As you walk in you can pick up a tube of nectar with a flower on the top. The center of flower is open so the butterflies can taste and eat the nectar from the tubes. This gives you a chance to host and feed a butterfly or two or more!
This was a great choice of entertainment for all of us and I do recommend it for anyone visiting Branson, Mo.

@amitkokiladitya Every kid that I saw in there was spell bound. My one and a half year old grandson loved it and his big sister who turns 8 later this month.

Oh did I read it right, aviary? Aviary is for the birds. Probably you are referring to the butterflies garden which is butterfly house, conservatory, or lepidopterarium.

@kareng we have one here in our province. It's located in the mountain resort. It's owned by the government.

That sounds like fun! We have a Butterfly Rainforest attached to the Museum of Natural History at the University of Florida. It is spectacular to visit, although it's been closed for the past three months due to COVID. But I saw on the news tonight that it will be re-opening its doors tomorrow for people to visit again!

@moffittjc This one was on the warm side! In fact, if much hotter it would have been uncomfortable. i will definitely plan on visiting the one on campus there if and when I make it that way!

@kareng What I love about it is how huge it is, and it's all inside a giant glass building/enclosure (like a giant greenhouse), but it is air conditioned. So you feel like you are outside in a tropical rainforest, but with nice cool temperatures!

@LindaOHio We have something planned for September also. I think that we are all entering a new phaze of lifestyle. Did you hear there is a confirmed case of bubonic plague in China? First thing that came to my mind was is the news current? Or months old?

@kareng Hubs thinks we're going on our big road trip in September. I don't think so! We'll be going through a ton of states.

Yes, very pretty blue ones that had a plain and blah undercoating with brown. I think there is a blue one in the photo I'm attaching. Can't see well since it is a thumbnail but hope I remembered correctly!
Edit: Nope not a blue one but another one to enjoy. This was one of the feeding stations for the butterflys.

It's not often you get the chance to be among so many butterflies. Our visit to such a place in Ireland was quite enchanting.
