Fear not, I’m working on more topics to annoy you with. Meanwhile, I’m almost finished with the triple-header list of songs that never bothered to put the title of the song in the lyrics. Oh, lookie, for today’s obscure song it’s an old favorite popping up yet again in one of my lists....
#2: Night Accident - Robbie Fulks
My favorite Robbie Fulks song. The title gives you the setting of the narrative in the song, where the driver is repeating what the passenger, severely injured in the wreck, is telling him.
Thinking he’s about to die of his injuries, the passenger confesses a one-night stand with the driver’s wife, begging forgiveness from his long-time friend so he can “go in peace to my doom.”
What a powerhouse song.
