Why cant my boss understand

All my boss insists about spending time with family and having kids is everything in life. She praises the loser that left for mat leave.
So canada day she told me to spend it with family as I had it off. I said ilk be enjoying it alone and will enjoy myself.
I cant stand my mother and frankly avoid any form of her. Even holidays and dhe fact she tries to make lies up about me to try ans get control. My boss cant understand not all of us enjoy our family nor care about them.

A lot of people assume that their experiences are universal. She'll probably never be able to put herself in your shoes because she hasn't had to deal with any BS like the things that your mother put you through.
It's like my mother used to love telling me: sometimes 'mother' is only half a word. (The other half won't make it past the profanity filter here 
)

Some times boss of company only think of their needs don't take care of our emotions lol. I hope you convince your boss for your needs.

I think this is her issue. She also a different background and not native to Canada so I think that's half the issue. For her family buys you a house when married and gives you money each year.

Most likely not. She lies and steals. A narcassistic completely. She has been like this since I was a kid and I doubt it will change. Easier to pretend she doesnt exist

BOS sometimes only attach importance to what is important for his subordinates to work ...
After he has a family at home or has a wife at home sometimes the boss doesn't care ...
He only thinks of money and how your performance of the company ...
So my advice is try to understand what your boss likes, lobbying him and when he is free then ask him for help on leave so you can gather and enjoy gathering with your family ....
