Turmeric Rice

Do you make turmeric rice? Have you tried other kinds of rice that you put in flavorings before it is cooked? Japanese people like their rice to be plain, but I learned from some Indian colleagues that they like to put turmeric in their rice, and that turmeric is good against dementia! I also learned after researching a little that it is also anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial. Anyway, I like turmeric rice very much and the other teachers often comment about my yellow rice. I have not tried making it, but I have had rice cooked in coconut milk with another kind of seed (maybe coriander? I am not up on my spices). I would like to try making that some time too.

Here it is called yellow rice. Namely rice cooked with turmeric, coconut milk and other special seasonings. I really like it. .

We sometimes sprinkle turmeric on our boiled rice but that's about it.

I think this sounds so new to Japanese people.
