Do You Think People Actually Listen To One Another

I ask because do not think they do. They try to listen but as soon as you say something they do not agree with in their world view or contradicts their world view they will ignore you. Nope, shut up, not listening.
The ways to get people to listen is so frustrating. I think kids do it the best. That tantrum they throw is probably the most true real built in evolutionary code that is made.They already know, they have to do it this way or the adult parent is not going to listen.
I am a loner and quite selfish.One tends to get that way because in your eyes there is no need for other people to a point. You actually have to remind yourself, that is selfish, shut up and hear what the group has to say. To bad the group does not give the same respect back for the most part.From my experiences. Why because they do not listen to my point,unless I tell them something they want to hear. SORRY, this homie does not work that way.

i try to listen to people, specially if i don't agree with them because "okay let me hear what you got to say, so i can tell you why you're wrong"

Amen and the second part is just a character flaw.Lets not judge them on that and no way am I speaking of myself.

I agree, not because I want you to listen to me. I think its how we actually teach and geez, if you break that code, be prepared to pay the price.

Maybe some will listen to another but I think it depends on what you are talking about. Some only listen to what they like to hear. I don´t talk about writing or reading a book when I know my friends are not interested in listening to what I say. So I end up just listening to them.

True,and we all do that, I know the look too, but just slap my friends you will like Rancid. Just kidding, I am careful as if I am boring them with stuff they really do not like, OK move on to something else.
