Knock... knock....

My neighbors have been selling foods around and they just knock on my door. It is hard to say no as they are my neighbors. But to be honest, there are plenty of foods in the fridge and pantry so I don't have to buy cooked foods outside. I buy supplies good for many months. I want to help them but I also want to save money reason why I buy in bulks. Especially now that we are in crisis, why buy Coke outside when you have one in the fridge, you know what I mean? What would you do if you were in my situation?

I only buy when I need. I give help in our neighborhood but regarding their selling business, I only buy when I need it. Especially food, I would rather cook our food than buy cooked food outside.

@Janet357 we have a doorbell and sometimes the neighbor would press the door bell. When it sounds, our dogs would go ballistic. It is annoying. I give treats to the kids here like chocolate drink, fruits, biscuits, etc. But once the kid would ring the door bell, he is blacklisted already. They know that here.

That is my attitude too. and i bought their items for the sake of being neighbors.but then they keep on knocking. I find it disturbing because i have all the things i need.

@Alexandoy There is a sound of doorbell that annoys me a lot. It was a loud buzz. Yes I read discussions like that. I would rather give them.something than buy products i dont like.

I would explain that I had plenty of food in the house and could only afford to buy a small amount occasionally.

well if they are doing it because they need financial help - they would accept money even if you don't need anything, but just give them money. that's what we do to some sellers here. or maybe i would buy something that i could need sometime...

For me, I would really deny politely to those selling. We also do need to save money too.

In my town, some vendors sell fresh meat and vegetables right at your doorstep because entry to the local wet market is being restricted. And they're sold at market price too, that's why we really just stay at home both for safety and to save on gas. But in your case, I'd just tell them I already have plenty of food in the pantry and have them come back next time.

I've got no problem buying fresh meat and fish. In fact, i always order them in bulks from my friend. I just don't like buying cooked foods.

It's really very crazy situation. Hear we need to save our money then also need to buy goods from them too. If possible try to contact your friends any one needs, then you buy for them. Otherwise simply say I buy next week.

Today that situation is in crisis,we need to buy what is necessary. Talking about that neighbor who is knocking your door and selling foods, just simply say ,i have still stock food there, maybe next time. Just say like this so that they will not be offended.
