There are many apps available through which we can socialize with our friends and can contact our friends, families etc and I suppose we chat is the least popular as far as Indian subcontinent is concerned.
I myself installed it once and didn't liked the experience and that's why I feel WhatsApp is by far most useful and secure system with different features and with groups people stay in touch with their loved ones.
Did you tried We chat app? How was the experience?

In my opinion the safest application for interacting with personal users is telegram. This is related because telegram applications have very high energy and are not intervened by the government.

oh yes telegram is quite safe but you can not find 'search people around you' like in wechat. there is safer app messenger too called vibes. but i never tried it before

@Butterfingers Yeah it too but also my circle is not that and i think whatsapp is very easy and fast too.

I never tried it. Only apps I use and like are Whatsapp and Hke..Especially Hike as it's made in India and actually better than Whatsapp in terms of features and emoticons

@Butterfingers yeah it's really good. I think people are just getting to know about it. When it becomes widely known and used, I wouldn't mind giving up Whatsapp.

i have tried Wechat, but it consumed my internal memory on my mobile larger than Line. besides, in my country, people seldom use it. limited feature + big memory consuming (larger than 1 GB) , i have uninstalled it.

@Butterfingers but most chinese used it in China, they even have wechat pay (a digital payment) but maybe it's just most country preferences bcs i heard that whatsapp isnt commonly used in China
