This was one of my favorite things to discover at the Butterfly Palace--a carved butterfly with amethysts inside! It was beautiful! This item was on display in the Butterfly Rainforest and was just situated along the walking path. I noticed that most people just walked on by. This was intriguing since the piece was actually a masterpiece! Do you agree with me that this is a beautiful piece of work and could be considered a masterpiece? © 2020 Karen Gros, All rights reserved.

The rock is very beautiful! Did they shape the rock to look like a butterfly when cut in two, or was that the natural shape of the rock? Either way, it provided a very nice work of art!

I believe they cut it into the shape. It would be really odd to find one in that shape and for it to end up there.

@kareng But it looks so much like a naturally-formed rock! A weird shaped one, but natural-looking nonetheless.

@kareng my best friend's favorite color used to be purple. I still give her things of the color purple. My mother's favorite color is purple. My favorite color is pink.

It is beautiful. Sad how many people don't take the time to stop and see the beauty around them

That's a very unusual shape for a geode. Quite beautiful.

It really was beautiful. I have seen a larger and prettier one at Ron Coleman's Mine in Arkansas.

Nature is filled with God's beauty! Just an ordinary looking stone on the outside and the inside is gorgeous!

Another good example of the saying, "Don't judge a book by it's cover." But in this case a rock by its looks on the outside!
