Frida Kahlo, a wonderful Mexican painter and a woman who dared do what none other had done before was born in Coyoacan in July 6th, 1907.
She had to overcome accidents and pain all her life. But that did not stop her from living a full life until the day of her early death (47 years)
Let us salute her in this day as a great painter but also as a brave woman.
For those interested, in 2002, a movie about her life was made. It is a wonderful movie, worth watching more than once. I have visited her house in Coyoacan, La casa azul, where they have a museum with many of her paintings.

@marguicha Were you able to listen to the clip? Here are the lyrics
You painted yourself, a thousand times,
As if you never got it right.
You lay awake, with a mirror above your bed.
Your body was your cage, loneliness your friend.
And they say, life is a lion, love is despair.
Your heart never stopped trying, when you cut off your hair.
A monkey on your shoulder, blood and broken bones,
Your colours were bolder, than the brightest rainbow.
The brightest rainbow.
She says if the earth shatters, and we're thrown to the sea,
Nothing else matters, just home-bound, carry me.
And if you're unsure of where to go,
Just ask somebody, where is Mexico.
And they say, life is a lion, love is despair.
Your heart never stopped trying, when you cut off your hair.
A monkey on your shoulder, blood and broken bones,
Your colours were bolder, than the brightest rainbow.
The brightest rainbow.
When you lived, you danced the pain,
Your heart it did burn.
You said, "When I die, may it be sweet.
May I never return."
And they say, life is a lion, love is despair.
Your heart never stopped trying, when you cut off your hair.
A monkey on your shoulder, blood and broken bones,
Your colours were bolder, than the brightest rainbow.
The brightest rainbow.

She did. But still she lived all her few years to the brim.

Have not heard of her before but whatever she dared to do I imagine she must have been very brave indeed.
