Before i was agree that work from home is better than going to office, but now my view changed.I guess staying in the office is better. Household chores is also headache, most especially if the environment is not good. If you work from home,no peace of mind and concentration. What do you think myLotters, Do you prefer working at home or in the office.

I would be happy to work from home if I still worked during the virus. However, I used to love dressing up and looking my best when I had to work.

@rhuenz Dressing up makes us feel great. I have been home, but dress up for weekends and wear a touch of makeup during the day so I don’t frighten my husband away.

I've been working from home for a few months now, and I've previously worked from home. When I was freelancing, it was OK because I could take breaks when I wanted and could plan my work at my convenience. Now, I do my office job from home so have to do the same hours as I would in the office. While there are some advantages to working in an office, I do prefer working from home. My husband does most of the household chores so I don't have to worry about them (he's retired). I lack concentration no matter where I am so that makes no difference! I sometimes get annoyed with having to listen to TV and computers that other people are using at home but no more than I get annoyed with other noises in the office. At home, I can go outside during my breaks, have a cup of tea whenever I want, get on with other things when the office work is not busy. In the office, there is little else to do other than wait for a call if it's not busy.

I think that working from home is better only if you have a place where you can close the door and do what you have to do. It would be terrible to stand up to watch the pots or sweep the floors.

A lot of our newscasters have been reporting from home. A meteorologist near here (in Evansville, Indiana) has become famous because his cat invaded his weather forecast one night, and now she’s “Betty the Weather Cat.” Pets are just one distraction, though. I did an assignment from home way back in the 90s, and I found that the distractions at home were way too numerous to make that a permanent thing. Having said that, there are people who have a dedicated office area set up in their house, giving it the feeling of being “at work” so as to minimize the distractions. I’m just thankful I retired before all of this happened!

Both are okay, depends on what situations are. Going outside and sit in the office are good because you can chance environment. Doing at home is good too because you can spend time with families more while doing work.

There is a saying that you should never make your bedroom (or any room of the home) an office, since the idea of everything going on at home, the bed is so close, lunch breaks are easy to access, and all that. However for me, I work so much better at home. I have social anxiety and people constantly moving around, looking over my shoulder, all this, it distracts me and I get no work done. When I am at home I don't have to worry about that. However, my home is not a high traffic home, but even when I lived with a bunch of people I was still more productive at home than in some confined space.

I prefer going to the workplace rather than working from home. It is an entirely different feeling when you can work together with other people and also have your own moments of both laughter as well as politics at office. Makes life more interesting and time passes quickly.
