Shelves & Closet

Good Morning! Yesterday was for organizing. I made a goodwill run only to come home and realize I should have waited and gone through another box, Oh well, now that is ready for another goodwill run. I took the rest of the magazines that I needed to get rid of bagged them up, cleaned the shelf and then moved books from my five shelf bookcase to my ten shelf bookcase. The last three shelves of the five shelf bookcase is now dedicated to yarn. I still need to do some organizing of my ten case bookshelf, but it's getting there. ALL THE YARN will be here today. Most will come Fed Ex, but one will come from the USPS. The yarn needle I ordered yesterday or day before is also on it's way, but I'm not sure when it will be here. So YAY! I thought about taking a group picture of all the yarn, but I probably won't. The Fed Ex packages usually come before the USPS, and I'll be too eager to grab it and start working it up. Finished Silence For The Dead yesterday and am probably going to start the reread of An Inquiry Into Love and Death Nothin' better than Yarn and Books! How's your Friday? (Or whatever day you read this)

I'm glad your day was peaceful. Yes, to be honest, I need to be arranging or doing something to organize each day. Not just in my room but elsewhere too.

@amitkokiladitya Yes. There is relief to be found from a clutter free surroundings. It's hard to do so sometimes though.

So out with some of the forgotten books and making way for that yarn, right?

Pretty much! I need to go through my shelf and get rid of the books I just know I'll never read so I can make room for ones that I will. I just haven't decided whether I want to try to sell them on ebay or just donate them. Most of the books I bought or got for free from a thrift store locally, and I don't think I can sell them back to them.

@ScribbledAdNauseum We have a good will on the way to the grocery store from here. They have a drive up behind the store, and the attendants come out to your vehicle and unload it, so its really convenient and its the right thing to do to donate.

@Juliaacv Oh that's really nice! I think normally the attendants would unload here, but now they want us to set it outside ourselves. Before this, whenever I would donate, I'd do so at the Goodwill trucks instead of at the actual goodwill. The Goodwill trucks aren't running though.

It would be fun to see a pic of the yarn. Good for you for doing all that organizing. I need to do that too of course.

I get done with one thing and think I need to do so much more. I am still waiting on the yarn, so maybe I will be able to get it all in one picture. I'm hoping it comes soon though.

Going to be a quiet day here, except of doing my laundry I will just sit here and myLot and some other things. I need to go to swagbucks again, have been ignoring it for a few days and need to make enough for some gift cards. Have a nice day and enjoy your yarn.

I hope you enjoy your time on swagbucks. That site stopped being profitable for me a long time ago. I also could hardly ever qualify for a survey there. Enjoy your day!

@ScribbledAdNauseum It hasn't been too bad, but since starting here again I have neglected it and I can tell I am not getting any SB's for gift cards

Yarn and Books....my two favorite things (along with coffee) I have a whole box of stuff to bring to the thrift shop but need to find one that isn't too far away. The one I was going to closed. Some of the stuff I want to donate I tried to sell on Ebay but it didn't sell. Usually we have a community yard sale every spring but this year we didn't due to covid. It would have been a good opportunity for me to get rid of some stuff and pocket some bucks.

Right, I'm worried things won't sell on ebay either. I'll think about it and maybe have one shelf or one row of books completely for trying to sell. A little extra money wouldn't hurt. I'm still waiting on the yarn. I wish they'd hurry up! I love coffee but I can't drink it because my hormones are so wacky. Oh a community yard sale? I've heard of those and think they are neat.

Oh I love reading books! Do you crochet? That's one of the things that I want to learn, but I guess my patience doesn't cooperate with me.

@Shauibee I think it would be a nice reward. Good luck with your decluttering. Just take one room at a time and one area at a time.

I am teaching myself to crochet. I tried learning many years ago now, but I didn't have the patience for it then either. Youtube videos have helped me tremendously.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I might try that again. Maybe after decluttering my place. A huge task of decluttering ahead of me.

I'm going to post a discussion about some of the items. The other six will be here later today. I'ma lready eager. I would start crocheting already, but I think I'll wait until after dinner. I am so glad you got some rain, when you get tired of it, can you send it down to us? We're supposed to have 90 degree weather next week!
