Thank God He's Back To Work

My husband was laid off for 3 weeks. There was concern that the plant might shut down completely. One of the other plants did, but it is in California which is spiking with Covid. When my husband came home from work last night he said they were changing the schedule shutting down every weekend. He would be working Monday-Friday, 2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights, with only 4 of those 5 days being 12 hour shifts, the other being 8. This is promising. I can breathe a little easier now.

I´m so glad that there is work ahead for you. I am more worried about so many people with no work than of the pandemic now

No work for me. I haven't worked for 23 years because of my fibromyalgia. I am re-applying for my disability pension so I could get some money coming in.

He gave me the schedule. It's now 3 full 12-hour schedules and 1 8 hour schedule. So four days, not five.

Mine has been semi retired since all of this began. Looks like all of that is about to change though. I kind of gotten use to him being home all the time. He does all the cooking!! Glad its working out for you!!

If they shut down the plant my husband would jump straight to retirement (he's 57) and would want to sell this house and move to his home province. This is something I DON'T want to do. My husband doesn't do any cooking. He just annoys me a lot... especially having been home so much.

That certainly is good news. I'm sure it's been stressful worrying about what was going to happen.

I even had this worry before COVID because my husband kept saying he wants to retire to his home province. I have no intention of selling this house nor moving down there. He keeps changing his thoughts on that and it all has to do with money. Me, I don't want to leave my home, my kids, my church, my writing group.
