Do you think buy one get one free is a good deal? I have a relative who is obsessed with it. They will buy way too much food especially junk food. Because they buy too much, some food goes to waste but they don't care as long as they get their deal.

Buy one get one for free is not common here. I think it is a waste if you donĀ“t consume the food that you buy from this bargain sale.

Interesting, it must be an American sale.

It depends on what you are buying. I have saved a lot by shopping these sales.

That's true, if you really do use it, it's good.

Same here. Mike matches the sales to coupons we may have which is even better for us.

I have done that before, but I reined myself in after seeing how much I wasted. It's only a good deal if you are going to use it before it expires, and if you have the space for it.

It's only good if you need it and use it.

Buy one get one free is tricky. It becomes cheaper per item but in the end you end up spending more money because if you had gotten just one item you'd have spent less. If I know I need two then of course I will get two. Otherwise, I just get one. I try to stay away from getting junk food.

I know people that buy a ton of stuff they don't need and won't use just because it's on sale.

It would be ok if a person donated the excess to a good bank. But the person I mentioned above doesn't think about that. If the food is wasted then it is wasted.

I buy only if I can use the food or items. It can save quite a bit of money.

We look for buy one get one free but we make sure it is something we are going to use before it expires. As much as we like getting a good deal, we equally hate wasting.

Actually it's a sales trick. You're still paying the same price of the other product.
