Two window washers who were in danger rescued by firefighters

A scaffold incident in Boston on Thursday

Two window washers that were working on the 12th floor of a 14 story building are thankful that a concerned citizen called 911 to report the danger they were in when the scaffold that they were working on dangled to one side. The Boston Fire Department answered the emergency call and with the help of a ladder they were able to rescue the two window washers from a possible tragic ending since the odds of surviving a fall from 12 stories is remote. In my view the firefighters are real heroes of this story since they were doing their duty to serve their community.

All people will be heroes if they do save lives Jesus is a hero for He saves sinners by offering His blood and life.

That would be worrying to have the scaffold shift in that way.

I am glad they were rescued but I am afraid of heights and I can never understand how people can go up on the scaffolding to wash windows and other things

The same here since I get scared of heights just walking up to a 3 meter springboard at a local swimming pool. What I have heard of people who work in high risk jobs like window washing or building a bridge is that the employee admits there is fear but they have that God is watching out for them.

What I have heard of sports stars and employees who have to work and perform from a diving board from a huge height is that they know the risks involved but they are willing to earn a living in a high risk job or sport.
