Hi, It has been always know that there are some conflicts between the wife and her mother in law, and the husband just stay in the middle. At least this happens a lot in my country. I want to know if this is the same in other countries?

I think it happens all over the world. I got along very well with my mother in law though.

Good, nice to hear that there are women who don't have any problem with their mother in law

I was in the lucky position that I had contact with my MIL only very rarely. I live in Germany and she lived on the Italian island of Sardinia. We never had problems with each other. She accepted me but wasn't overly interested in me. That suited me fine.

yes lucky, but I have a friend who is just like your situation, she and her mother in law live in different countries but when they travel to see her, they always have problems and she keeps saying thanks God that she is far of me

I happen in every country including India, so many broken marriages in India and other nations, there are innumerable movies, stories, sitcoms about the wife, mother-in-law and the SANDWICH, all these are based on real-life situations of all the cultures of various nationalities, the disputes and tactics are different for different nations may vary but the plight of the man remains the same, the task of making a choice, is it mother or wife? either way, for the man, it's the bottomless pit.

it's the same "talk" here, but i think it's dumb. there are some wife-mother in law relationships that are great and loving.

I really wonder why it seems always to be between mother in law and daughter in law and rarely between son in law and father in law.
