A special thanks from Bedford Massachusetts residents Megan Lantanowich and her three year old daughter Sophia went to the Bedford firefighters who answered the call for help two hours after midnight on Monday.
The call for help to put out the fire began when the roommate of Megan who was on the first floor of the two story home managed to get the attention of her roommate that their home was on fire.
After the local authorities were called to assist them, Megan and her daughter Sophia were trapped inside their bedroom when the firefighters arrived to save them.
Megan opened up her bedroom window and waved a towel to get the attention of the firefighters who used a ladder to rescue both Megan and Sophia by carrying them down the ladder from the second floor to the ground safely.
Megan was able to thank the brave firefighters later that same day to show them that she appreciated their hard work to save them from a burning home that could have ended in tragedy.

I understand your fear of fire since I also fear being trapped in a fire myself.

I know what you mean since climbing down a ladder carrying a child requires extreme strength.
