Are You Shy To Camera?

When I was a little kid, I felt really blessed shy to camera but now I'm not. I click selfies with friends or close people like colleagues. I often recall my old days that I was really very shy to look to camera. It feel like I was really very unsmart and introvert.
Now having a camera phone is very common and clicking selfies also a common factor.
Today I was checking one of my tiktok video where I made a video with my favourite song but I was shy on that video.
So what about you?
I'm sure none of you feel shy when posing for a photo in front of camera.

I'm a perfectionist, so I get anxious when having pictures taken. I want to make sure they're perfect.
I could say I'm shy because it can make me uncomfortable, but I know it's due to perfectionism.
Selfies are fine because they allow me to have full control.
I also wanted to record videos on TikTok but I have no idea what to do. I feel like "dancing" is too simple and I'm afraid of looking too "raunchy" while dancing.

@sabtraversa We always take a harder view of ourselves than others do. I do the same thing to myself. I am very self-conscious about getting my photo taken, for many of the same reasons you listed.

Sabrina, you shouldn't worry at all about getting your picture taken. You're absolutely beautiful no matter what!

I used to be camera shy but only of other people taking photos of me hence why I always look red in photos taken by other people because I am blushing

@SHOHANA I also hate it when people hassle me to smile in a photo... just because I'm not smiling doesn't mean I am sad or moody. Being harassed to smile though that makes me moody

@SHOHANA @sabtraversa It's an age thing. I'm not shy but I've never made a selfie and never will.
I've been pondering on writing on the selfie phenomenon. I think the time has come to do so.

I don't mind people taking a pic of me but I hate posing or when people say "smile". I don't like smiling on command and I feel like the pics don't always come out good because of it. Also, I think pics are better when the person doesn't know he/she is being photographed because they are in the moment and are not forced.

I'm the opposite. when I was younger I didn't mind photos. then I realized how atrocious I look so I don't like to be on camera any more lol

@SHOHANA eh, I really don't like taking pictures. but I'll try haha. I wish I was more confident because there are no pictures of me for the last few years and I know I'll regret it later in life

I much prefer to be behind the camera now a days. I'm a photographer so I enjoy taking photo's of other people.

In my younger days, I loved being in every possible photo I could be in. Now, I am very camera shy, and don't like being in pictures at all. I'm not sure why, I just don't like it.

I hate getting my picture taken, yes I'm an introvert. Do I like people? Not everyone, but usually it takes a long time to trust someone. I never like to get my photo taken, ever.

@SHOHANA On My Lot, I come across different, like it's easy for me to talk. Online, yes. One on one with people, no. I do not trust people, it takes a while for this to happen. Shy? I'm not sure. Afraid? Yes.

Now that I'm old and overweight, I don't like my picture taken. When I was young and skinny, I loved having my picture taken.

I don't often take photos or make videos of myself. I am not that kind of person who take pics all the time, but when I am out with somebody or travelling Somewhere I take few pics, and not me the others who take those pics for me. So I don't feel at ease in front of the camera
