Shocker to See in the Middle of July

Was coming home from taking care of a few things earlier and saw a baby deer (fawn) in a neighbor's yard.
I snapped this photo from the passenger window while riding. Not a clear photo but the best I could do.
Shocked to see this baby grazing in the middle of the day. I am sure the parents were close by in the woods perhaps.
Made me smile to see the spots, like Bambi. Had to share with you.
Do you see wild animals in your world?

I noticed the same thing today. I was driving home on a very busy road and looked over into a vacant field to see a couple of deer grazing in the middle of the day. Very surprised to see them out at this time of day. I wonder if the heat is making it hard for them to bed down during the day?

@CarolDM I feel bad for all those poor animals that are stuck in that heat all day long. I sure they're used to it, but that still doesn't make it any more comfortable for them.

@moffittjc I cannot even keep my mind there. Breaks my heart to think about some situations.

the "herd" in the greenway beyond the edge of our walk area, had three fawns this year. Always amazing to see.

@CarolDM the fun thing is all three made it so far. But the only predator around here for Deer are four-wheeled carnivores.

Great shot. Yes, we live in a semi-rural area and see deer, turkey, fox, etc...and even horses!

Very neat! I actually think that's a pretty good quality picture.
Yeah, at my parents place (they live outside of the town I live in), I see lots of birds, butterflies, and dragonflies, and other cool stuff. Nothing too crazy, but still nice to see.
