Two Littles Having Fun

My great niece came to visit us today early this morning. Her mom works in a bakery I told her I would be happy to take her for the day. Little Miss loves the company and this little girl is well behaved. The kiddos played for a couple of hours and then wanted to go outside. The sun hadn't shown through the clouds so it was not too hot out. We went out until it was lunch time. They played in the sandbox and then engaged in a game of tag. Little Miss loves to run around so it was good for her. While I made lunch they watched an episode of Paw Patrol. It was still on when I served lunch, but I let them keep the tv on while they ate. Then they were back in the bedroom playing with toys. They have been in there ever since. Usually Little Miss will play for about 15 minutes alone and then comes out to see if she can "watch something." I try not to let her watch too much tv or use technology too much. She can use her tablet every other day and only for about a half hour to an hour at a time. It is nice to have her not request to use it so much. She is engaged in play with her friend being here. So, in an hour, the little one will probably go back home with her mother. Little Miss will be sad. She doesn't like to see her friend leave. I am going to let the mom know that I am willing to take her daughter on days when she doesn't have to go to work too early. She sometimes needs to be at the bakery at 5 a.m., and doesn't get out until around 6 in the evening. That is a long day. I am not sure I could pull that one off. However, I would be willing to give it a try if she were in a pickle. Glad to see them both having such a good time. Kids need to be with other kids.

It's great they played so well and it would be nice if it could become a more or less regular thing.

I talked with my niece and told her that I would be open to it happening more often. She agreed and told me she would look at her weekly schedule to see when it can happen again. Her mother usually watches her daughter and will welcome the break. She doesn't mind taking her, but has little for her to do. At least while she is here, she can play and go outside with Little Miss.

I want to try to organize a get together between one of her former friends from school. She misses her terrible. Not sure her mother will allow it though.

I'm so glad that they could enjoy some play time together. And it was a nice and safe play date, so kudos to you for arranging that.

I still feel it it too soon to open schools. We have had an outbreak in our area again. I personally will not be sending Little Miss back this school year. I am going to homeschool her.

They play well together. Of course they have their moments when they grow tired of one another, but they quickly find something to do together that makes them happy.

We go to visit one of her former classmates too. Not too often, but enough so both girls can have some giggles and fun.
