Tired of the rainy season

I like the rainy season, for a while. It usually hits us about the second week of June (often on the day of high school graduation; it was late this year) and marks a cooler period than we had in the spring during May, which can get uncomfortably hot and dusty. It tamps down the dust and our sinuses are not coated in brown dust like in the spring. We don't have grit between our teeth. What we do have is grey, dreary days that the mold in our wooden houses loves. Did I mention I'm allergic to mold? Every morning when I come downstairs, it stinks like mold. The upstairs is starting to smell bad too. I run a dehumidifier in some rooms, and I have under-the-floor ventilation fans that are supposed to help, but circulating damp air for an entire month, I must say, is no longer cutting it. It's July 17 and often the rainy season ends on July 15, right on the nose, though the average for my area is July 21. Last year it was late ending. This year it was late starting. I'm quite ready for it to be done. When it ends, I can start complaining about the terrible heat and humidity. Currently I am still in long pants and wearing a jacket! Do you gripe no matter what the weather? I don't usually gripe during the fall, and possibly the warmer part of the winter. But right now I'm griping.

We had no rain for 2 days now so I am watering the plants twice a day.

Is that unusual in your area?

@petatonicsca it is rainy season already. Although a long stretch of sunny days is not unusual but it is not usual for me, waheehee. It is not easy to water the plants.

@Alexandoy I think my plants are getting too much water, and I haven't touched them for days.

We’re definitely in need of rain, or something to cool down...

I assume you mean "cool" rather than "school" down? It took me a minute...

I tend to find a reason to gripe during any season as it progresses, but I can understand the mold problem.

My gripe in the winter is not generally the cold because we don't get so many really cold days, but the dryness. Right now I could go for that 30% humidity. Wish it would average out.

i love the rainy day,but if it has been raining,i have no way to bask my clothes and go hiking. So i just wish it can come twice or thrice every week. That will be fine

I think so too. When it rains every day, I get really out of shape! Today I am going to go to a local area of shops that is under cover, not to buy anything but just to walk. Otherwise the only exercise I get is housework.

I am not fond of any time when it's hotter outside my skin than inside it.

I hope the weather doesn't get too hot for you. That is the nature of people. We gripe when it is too cold or too hot and then when the weather is cold we wish for the heat and when it is hot we wish for the cold.
